Ouaniche, Jacques

French biographical drama about a Jewish boxer. The story follows the diminutive Tunisian boxer Victor ’Young’ Perez (Brahim Asloum) who began his training at 14-years-old, under the guidance of his older brother Benjamin (Steve Suissa), and went on to become a world flyweight champion.

But after being arrested in Paris in 1943, Young was sent to Auschwitz to serve as a slave labourer and box for the viewing pleasure of the SS.
