Champion, Gregg

A retiring police officer (Dabney Coleman), not wanting to take any risks during his last eight days on the force, refuses to make a rooftop leap in pursuit of a criminal.

However, a mix-up makes him think he is dying and when he finds out his insurance policy requires him to die in the line of duty before it pays out to his family, he begins to take extraordinary risks and make miraculous arrests.
