Classic comedy from Ernst Lubitsch in which a conman finds himself torn between two beautiful women. Smooth-talking thief Gaston Monescu (Herbert Marshall) can hardly believe his luck when he meets Lily (Miriam Hopkins), a skilled pickpocket. Given their professions, it would be a stretch to characterise the relationship as a match made in heaven, but Gaston and Lily certainly seem suited to one another.

However, when the intrepid pair set their sights on the wealth of perfume magnate Mariette Colet (Kay Francis) - a scheme that requires Gaston to seduce Mariette - the seeds are sown for a potentially deadly love triangle...
