Nordi Comics

Ahokoivu, Mari

The comics of the book where made during a two week long workshop in Helsinki, Finland. The book includes artists from Finland, Sweden, Norway and Denmark. The workshop was part of the Nordicomics.info project, which main goal is to create a larger network between the nordic countries comics scenes. Helsinki workshop was the first of many workshops the project will have, each in a different city accross the north.

The theme of the comics is Helsinki, the city where the workshop was held. For two weeks artists where able to get to know the city and eachother and work together in the Helsinki Comics Centre. Artists where professionals as well as local amateurs.

Artists: Christian skovgaard, Martin Ernstsen, Anna Sailamaa, Jyrki Nissinen, Emelie Östergren, Mari Ahokoivu, Muura Parkkinen, Marion Roger and Rui Tenreiro.
