John Berry directs this musical drama starring Peter Lorre, Yvonne De Carlo and Tony Martin. Based on the 1938 film ’Algiers’, the picture revolves around the conflict between master criminal Pepe (Martin) and the police inspector, Slimane (Lorre), who desperately wants to put him behind bars. Unfortunately for Slimane, Pepe shows no desire to leave the Casbah area of Algiers, where he enjoys the protection of his criminal contemporaries.

However, when Slimane learns that Pepe has fallen hopelessly in love with the beautiful tourist Gaby (De Carlo), he believes he has spotted an opportunity to catch the thief off guard. Will he finally get his man?
